Trip Overview

Adi Kailash and Om Parvat are not merely destinations in the Himalayas – they are sacred realms where faith, mythology, and untamed wilderness converge. This expedition is a journey into the divine silence of the mountains, where every breath feels purer and every moment carries a deeper meaning.

Often referred to as “Chhota Kailash,” Adi Kailash stands as a revered symbol of Lord Shiva’s abode, surrounded by pristine landscapes, glacial rivers, and high-altitude meadows that seem untouched by time. The serenity of Parvati Sarovar, resting at its base, reflects the towering peaks like a mirror to the heavens – a sight that humbles even the most seasoned traveler.

Om Parvat is nothing short of miraculous. Etched naturally in snow across the face of the mountain, the sacred ‘Om’ symbol appears as if carved by the universe itself. Witnessing it in person is not just visual awe – it is a deeply spiritual experience that words often fail to describe.

The journey itself is an adventure through dramatic Himalayan terrain – narrow mountain roads, roaring Kali River valleys, remote border villages, and landscapes that shift from dense forests to stark high-altitude beauty. Every mile tests your spirit, strengthens your resolve, and rewards you with views few ever get to see.

This expedition is crafted for those who seek more than scenic beauty. It is for explorers who wish to drive through challenging terrains, sit quietly by sacred waters, hear temple bells echo across valleys, and feel the presence of something greater than themselves.

Adi Kailash and Om Parvat do not just give you memories – they leave you transformed. Stronger in spirit, lighter in mind, and deeply connected to the Himalayas.

Join us on this sacred self-drive expedition – where devotion meets adventure, and every turn brings you closer to divinity.

Self Drive Road Trip

Highways, Mountains, River Crossing, High Passes

Offroading, Nature Walk, City exploration, Local Food

June 2026 : DM for details

Your expedition kicks off from Delhi as the city skyline slowly fades and the open highways lead you toward the Himalayas. The plains gradually transform into winding mountain roads, pine-covered hills, and breathtaking valley views.

With every kilometer, the air turns cooler and the excitement grows stronger. A quick roadside chai break, endless road conversations, and the first glimpse of the Kumaon hills set the perfect tone for the adventure ahead.

By evening, you arrive in Pithoragarh – the gateway to Adi Kailash. Surrounded by serene valleys and towering peaks, this charming mountain town welcomes you into the lap of the Himalayas.

The journey has begun. And the mountains are calling.

After a peaceful night in Pithoragarh, the drive toward Dharchula takes you deeper into the Kumaon Himalayas. The roads wind through dramatic valleys, dense forests, and along the powerful Kali River, which quietly marks the Indo-Nepal border.

Every turn reveals sharper peaks, steeper cliffs, and landscapes untouched by time. The drive becomes more thrilling, more scenic, and far more immersive.

By the time you reach Dharchula – a quaint border town nestled beside the river – you can feel the shift. Civilization feels distant. The mountains feel closer. And the spiritual journey toward Adi Kailash and Om Parvat truly begins here.

Leaving Dharchula behind, the road climbs steadily into raw Himalayan terrain. The Kali River roars alongside as you navigate narrow mountain roads carved into dramatic cliffs. This is where adventure intensifies and the landscape turns truly untamed.

As you reach Gunji, the last major settlement before the high-altitude frontier, the air feels thinner and the silence deeper. Surrounded by towering peaks and vast valleys, you realize you’re entering a sacred Himalayan realm.

And then comes the moment – Om Parvat. The divine ‘Om’ symbol naturally formed in snow on the mountain face stands before you, powerful and surreal. It’s not just a sight – it’s an experience that humbles you instantly.

Further ahead lies Lipulekh Pass, a historic gateway connecting India to Tibet. Standing near this ancient trade route, amidst vast Himalayan panoramas, you feel the magnitude of where you are – at the edge of borders, faith, and extraordinary landscapes.

This is not just a drive.
This is where devotion, adventure, and the Himalayas merge into one unforgettable memory

From the quiet Himalayan village of Gunji, the journey toward Adi Kailash feels deeply personal. The road climbs higher into a landscape of raw beauty – glacial streams, vast meadows, and towering snow-clad peaks guiding your way.

As you approach Adi Kailash, often known as Chhota Kailash, the atmosphere shifts. The mountains stand majestic and silent, carrying an energy that words cannot fully capture. At the base lies the serene Parvati Sarovar, reflecting the sacred peak like a mirror to the divine.

Here, time slows down. The wind feels different. The silence speaks.

This is more than a destination – it’s a moment of connection, devotion, and inner stillness in the lap of the Himalayas.

As you bid farewell to the mighty Himalayas, the drive from Gunji marks a gradual return from sacred silence to the rhythm of the plains. The towering peaks slowly fade in the rearview mirror, but the experience stays with you.

Descending through the dramatic valleys and along the Kali River once again, every turn feels nostalgic – as if the mountains are giving you one last memory to carry home.

For those heading toward Jim Corbett, the landscape transforms beautifully from rugged high-altitude terrain to dense forests and wildlife corridors – a perfect contrast to the spiritual heights you’ve just witnessed.

And as you continue toward Delhi, the highways feel different now. Calmer. More meaningful. You’re not just returning from a roadtrip – you’re coming back transformed.

The expedition may end, but the Himalayas stay within you.
